About the Recipe
Ingredients
-1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
-1 (8-ounce) wheel of Brie Cheese
-2-3 tbsp honey (you can add pepper flakes to your honey to make a yummy hot honey as well)
-1/4 cup chopped Valley Grown Walnuts
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 375° F. Spray a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray to prevent honey and pastry puff from sticking.
Roll out your thawed pastry dough on a large, lightly floured surfaced, into a horizontal rectangle. Take a pizza slicer to cut the pastry into 4 rows horizontally and 6 rows vertically. You should make 24 (2 1/2-inch) squares. Press each square into each mini muffin cup, and then poke the bottom of the pastry with a fork.
Next you will take your brie and cut it into 24 cubes. If your brie is too soft, place it in your freezer for about 15 minutes to help with cutting. Place a square of brie into each pastry cup.
Drizzle a little bit of honey on top of each piece of cheese and top with a few chopped walnuts.
Bake for about 15 minutes, or until the pastries are a golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool for 3-5 minutes before removing from the pan to serve!
