Ingredients

-11 ounces Kraft Caramel squares, unwrapped

-1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

-3/4 cup butter, melted

-1 cup brown sugar

-1 cup oats

-1/2 cup all-purpose flour

-1/2 cup walnut flour (directions below)

-12 ounces chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)

Preparation

  1. In a small saucepan combine your caramel squares and heavy cream.

  2. Place over low heat and stir until smooth and no lumps remain. Set aside.

  3. Take about 1 cup of Valley Grown walnuts and place in a food processor. Mix walnuts until smooth and a powdery consistency. Reserve a 1/2 cup for your recipe.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, flour and walnut flour, and oats.

  5. Spray an 8x8 pan with non-stick spray or line with parchment paper. Press half of your crust mixture in the bottom of the pan evenly.

  6. Bake the crust at 350° for 10 minutes. Remove from oven.

  7. Pour your chocolate chips evenly on top of your hot crust, and then drizzle over your caramel over the chocolate chips.

  8. Then, sprinkle over the remaining crust dough over the caramel.

  9. Bake in the oven at 350° for 15 minutes.

  10. Remove from oven, let cool or place in your fridge for 2-4 hours before slicing and serving.
